Jesus had a special love for little children. It was evidenced in His ministry when He twice called attention to the faith of little children and asserted that for a person to become a part of the Kingdom of Heaven, he must demonstrate a simple trust in him as the Son of God and the source of Life. It is for that reason First Christian has developed a
preschool program for three and four year old children.

Developmental psychologists and learning theorists suggest that the attitudes children have about themselves, about others, and about the world, are well formed by the time they enter first grade. Every child has the right to see himself/herself in relationship to the God who made him/her. F.C.C.'s preschool focuses on attitudes, concepts, self-esteem, and social relationships more than factual content, although factual material will be communicated as well.

Woven into the whole preschool experience is an opportunity to develop socially and emotionally. As the students develop interaction skills, they gradually learn to deal with conflicts within themselves and between themselves and others. The adults involved strive to help them when they need guidance and provide experiences that will help them grow in the Christian graces and in social competance.
