Ahoy Crews...
We had an AWESOME week. The kids were great and the workers... well let's just say that there's no finer crew in Southern Illinois, or anywhere for that matter.
Our largest day was 140 kids and 77 workers. Even with that, there were no problems that weren't handled extremely well by all who were involved.
A huge thank you goes out to all who were involved in the week, but there are a few who need to be mentioned...
Linda, Sharmilla & Adrienne... Thanks so much for all the effort that you put into your lesson & snack room. The kids loved it and we know for a fact that they understood the lessons each day!
Janet... The science lab was great!!! Thanks for using science to teach the kids about God. And thanks to all your helpers too! They did a fantastic job.
Chris... The place was a mad house and the kids loved it. You and your crew did a great job of teaching the memory verse through games. Way to go!
Carol & Joan... The pre-school lessons were great. The kids were enthralled and really grabbed onto the bible story in ways that they hadn't seen before.
Dena & Sonja... Snacks & science... who'd of ever thought... But you came through with flying colors. Thanks for the energy and time you spent to make the application of the Bible lesson for those preschoolers!
Debbie... The kids loved spending time with you and "squawking along". Thanks for getting them going each morning and starting up their engines.
Jodi... Getting seven different activity centers together seemed like a daunting task, but you pulled it off in a grand way. Thanks for working so hard an putting together such a fine crew. They, and you, did a fantastic job. The kids loved it!!!
Alice... You were able to do the impossible, you survived a week of VBS. The crew that you recruited did a fantastic job and they seemed to have a good time doing it as well. Your efforts behind the scenes were a key component to the week. We salute you Admiral!
Of course, there were many, many others. So to all of you who were crew leaders, snack preparers, lab technicians, game directors, nursery workers, money counters, picture takers, puppet actors, AV button pushers, Discovery Bay site leaders, and (most importantly) prayers...
