From the Observation Point
I started working right before Memorial Day 2006. I was given a roll of plans and a dream of a structure that would serve the Lord in a great way. If you attended the Easter service you know that the dream has come true. This dream has been made possible with the help of the members of First Christian Church; not only with your giving but with people working. When we started we needed dirt moved and rock hauled, then we needed heavy equipment. We needed things taken out and hauled away, and finally to do the finish work and painting. We have been blessed with many hours of people doing what they can do for the Lord’s work in Fairfield. If we had to hire all this done the cost would have been in the thousands. I want to say THANK YOU to all the people who have given not only their money but their time to make this a dream come true. Just because the building is being used for service does not mean that we are finished with our role in this work. We still have little odds and ends to finish up both on the inside and the outside. We have a second floor that needs to be finished and landscaping that needs to be done. I hope that I have played a small part in making this dream come true. Now is not the time to rest but to put what God has blessed us with to use, from walking in the morning to great gospel programs. We need to remember that whatever we do it needs to be to God’s Glory. To all that took part in any way Thanks again, and remember there is still work to be done!

Ancient Words on the Concrete...
On November 14, 2007 over 200 people met in the new multipurpose room after our annual Thanksgiving Dinner. We were there for one purpose: To lay a foundation of prayer and scripture for the use and the future of the new facility.
As part of that service, those attending were asked to write a passage of scripture on the floor of the new room as a symbol and a reminder that we will always stand on the word of the Lord. This is a video of those passages. |
