| Pick up your copy of The Victory Club by Robin Lee Hatcher, begin reading and plan to join us in the foyer of the new building. It’s not too late to get started. We’ll discuss some good Christian fiction and share our faith as well. The next meeting of the Book Club will be June 11 @ 6:30. |

2008 Women of Faith Conference.
We realize it may seem early but we need to assure that we receive
the best prices for tickets to the conference as well as hotel rooms.
This is always an uplifting and encouraging conference and it's a
great way for the women of our church to enjoy each other's company.

Ticket price: $ 62.50 + $ 8.00 for an optional box lunch on Saturday
Extra Cost: 2 meals while traveling and
any shopping you want to do at the conference
Lodging: $105.00 + tax per room
(4 people per room will be about $40each)

Ladies college age and older are invited to be a part of the Women’s Council at First Christian. The Council is made up of four different “Circle” groups. They are as follows: Hannah, Rebekah, Mary, & Martha. Typically, the membership is based on age, but women of all ages are welcome to attend any Circle meeting.
The Council’s purpose is to bring women of our congregation closer to the Lord and each other through their ministry of service and fellowship. Service can take many forms, including preparing and serving funeral dinners, taking food to shut-ins or families with long-term illnesses or families with a new baby, and gathering items to send to a missionary our congregation supports, to name just a few. There is fellowship within the individual Circles on a monthly basis during the meetings held as well as Bible study and mission lessons. The climax of the Council year is the Ladies Spring Banquet held near the time of Mother’s Day. Many ladies enjoy a program and fine meal, and the new officers of the Council and its “Circle” groups are installed.
